Misaros is a wonderful Italian market in St. Petersburg, Fl. They have all manner of meats, cheeses, wines and bread. You can easily spend an afternoon browsing, tasting and enjoying their deli.
On a visit a while back, they had chocolate covered bacon for sale. When you consider all of the major food groups, this had a lot of possibilities! We tried a couple of pieces and it did not disappoint. They were chewy, salty, sweet and delicious.
When thinking about this combo as a barn snack, it made all the sense in the world to combine salty, crunchy pretzel sticks, chocolate and bacon bits. It may sound a little odd but you should definitely try it. Granola, coconut or your favorite cereal also easily adheres to the chocolatey stick. Nobody will complain if you bring these along to a horse show as well. Enjoy!!
